VIEW MOREGuides and Philosophers of CIILM
A vision is the reflection of one’s own energy that one puts outside oneself and see it manifesting. CIILM is the manifestation of the seeds sown and the vision of Dr.Santosh Kakade. Doctor and law relationship is very productive relationship. Doctors have larger social acceptance. The relationship between the medical profession and legal profession is age old from 15th Century. The Consumer Protection Act has given a different outlook to the doctor patient relationship.
There is need of forum which will guide and help medical fraternity to take more care. Wishing CIILM the best to play this role. It is important that medical records be neat and legible, timely, accurate and maintain a professional tone. Law wants care from the doctors. Whatever we do, we have to deliver the best.
CIILM suggests that, the law governing doctor patient relationship should be modified. The real meaning of the same is that, doctor and patients should be friends. To maintain the friendship the first and foremost thing is, “talk to the patient”. Better communication from doctor’s side will always help in maintaining clarity in doctor patient relationship.
I have immediately accepted an invitation from CIILM to participate in the program on Legal Medicine. We should not become into a system that leads to a predatory law and we should not get in to a system that practices defensive medicine and surgery. Both the things will be immensely harmful to the patient. So definite efforts are needed to avoid both the things.
